I have a hifonics brutis that puts out 2000rms@ 1 ohm what would be better 2 subs that can take 1G each or one that handles 2Gs. What brand would give me the most satisfaction

Two subwoofers of the same kind are almost always louder than one. They have more cone area. 2000 watts is alot you could definitly run more than 2 subs and if you want loud the more the better.

Not always true, it all depends on the subs and more importantly the box

If you want SQ, 2 RD Elite 12's, if want SPL, 2 elite SPL's :-) . Good prices on them right now, but all in what your budget will let you do.

im gonna guess you'll get about 1600 rms outta that amp so I'd suggest like two ~800 watt rms dual 4 ohm subs. Theyd slam so nicely. I'd suggest SSD's but theyre either dual 2 ohm or dual 1 ohm i think.

Guys, what are the wiring options for two 2 dual 1 ohm subs.

Two dual 1 ohm subs will wire down to 1 ohm.

I like the SSD suggestion. You could also go a one sub setup, look into a DD3515 or 12.

In this case --- No.

Adding 2nd sub of same size/model -- +3dB
Doubling power -- +3dB

Those are typical numbers. In this case, I would personally go with 1 nice 1500-2000wrms sub.

12" Treo SSX comes to mind first.

Dude, even muddy backed me up. Take 3 of any of the same kind of subwoofer. Hook one up to the 2000 watts and then hook 2 up to the 2000 watts at the same time. The two sub setup will be louder. Cone area is more important than watts for SPL. Not to mention easier to deal with because you don't need some rediculous charging system all you need is space.

Really, it all depends on the box. Two subs will be louder than one of the same size on the same power IF and ONLY IF you have the proper space for them.

One sub in a good box will be louder than two in a box that's too small.

^^ well durr...

I think it was pretty understood that the subs would be in boxes of equal quality. Why the h3ll would I compare 1 sub in a good box to 2 subs in a really crappy one?
