I currenlty have an excursion ampilfier it only has a 60 watt fuse. If that is any indication of its power. I have blown 2 12's with it. A dub and a MTx.. I am looking for a new 12'or a 15' if my amplifier can push it? that will hit very hard..any suggestions....
i am actually veyr porfiecent at box building so tahts not an issue..wel the excursion is okay i dont think its great though... i want more SQL than anything..the bubget is hopefully under 300$ i think its max outout is 720 watts..
Well if the amp is 100% efficient at 14.5V it would get 870rms 14.5Vx60A=870watts RMS but then the efficientcy come in place most amps are 75-85% efficient so subtract the 25% 870 -25% = 652watts RMS thats prolly about what your getting from the amp at 75% efficientcy if it truly will pull 60A at 14.5V
get a 15 inch sd2.5. my friend has 2 12s and he told me that everyone says their loud and they have good sq. they are great for their price and they can easily handle the 600 or so rms so i think that one of those would work very well
