Hey guys. Thinking of maybe getting a new sub. These are the options. I want something that will play low bass and keep up with quick bass notes. I will be putting the sub sealed in about 2.5 to 3.0 cu ft enclosure. I have been advised not to go with the DD as it is more spl than sq? Please advise.

For very high end SQ with linear output the LMS is a great idea if you have the $$$. I have not tested it, but I do like the LMS technology.

LMS was going to go that route but it has to go in a sealed enclosure. Don't skimp, get the fully loaded one.. Polo. :-O

Out of those I'd choose the 9512 in a PORTED box. DD subs are not designed for sealed boxes.

Do you have to use a sealed box? If so, use one of the other subs.

i would go ahead and get the lms even though im a dd man. and i heard 2 2510 in a sealed box today (due to space) and they sounded really good and clean!

I believe that, the 25 series is the cleanest sounding DD sub. That would be ok in a sealed box, but you really want a ported box for DD's more powerful subs (35, 95, etc.)

I've heard a 2512 in a sealed and ported box within 10 minutes of each other.... swaped the boxes out in my friends car.... ported was WAY louder.

I completely forgot they even made those. I have never heard one, and never even seen a pic of one in use.

i hear you. remember i might get the zappie 9.0. those only come 2 or 4 ohms. I ll take the 2 ohm one because the subs i listed above come like that. The 4 ohms one would work with the SX but i dont know if tany of the subs above come in 4 ohm version

Not that it matters much, but TC lowered their prices. 15" 5400 is $200 less now! And if you get it, can you post some pics?? and take a vid??? i have to see that thing work!!

it is a heavy trigger to pull.lol. I think though that the choice is between the XXX and the LMs. i would love to get some video footage of both in action. I will continue to try and get demos of both and see how they each perform

the vids aren't top quality, but they do the job. There're a few ppl that have the XXX, but I know no one who has the LMS!
