Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 439 Registered: Nov-06 | So have I, but last time it was on, someone posted it, and maybe some of the noobs can go see and learn something. I think they hit over 160 but it was at like 18 hz or something low and "unheard of" like that. There is a vid on ROE in the woofer or various section of this episode. |

Silver Member Username: BlazerboyPost Number: 311 Registered: Jun-06 | With the crankshaft? |
Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 447 Registered: Nov-06 | and transmission!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 448 Registered: Nov-06 | Its actually called a driveshaft. The crankshaft is inside the engine and is connected to the flywheel, which is connected to the torque converter, which is connected to the transmission, which is connected to the driveshaft. Theres a little more to it but don't feel like typing. |
Silver Member Username: Spandmh1Tunnel hill, Ga AudioQue ... Usa Post Number: 245 Registered: Oct-06 | the enclosure they made coulda been better. |
Silver Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego Post Number: 367 Registered: Dec-06 | You know what the downfall of that whole design was? When they attached the shaft to the actual woofer cone it wasn't pushing it straight at all, you can see in the slow-mo when it self destructed that's what happened. It got all sideways and just ripped the thing to shreds. I think they are rushed on these shows or they could have made it much better. |
Silver Member Username: BlazerboyPost Number: 315 Registered: Jun-06 | Nah...plywood...GET SOME! |
Silver Member Username: BlazerboyPost Number: 316 Registered: Jun-06 | Shut up Brad, give them a break they did what they could, wanna fight? |
Silver Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego Post Number: 368 Registered: Dec-06 | LMFAO |
Gold Member Username: Livin_loud18 of Love Fi Audio Post Number: 1129 Registered: Jan-06 | ^^^lol they take a lot longer to do the things on there than it seems. kinda like a montage deal... but yeah they should have made some device to make it a linear motion... |

Silver Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego Post Number: 371 Registered: Dec-06 | Yep Eric, it is pieced together later in the edit room, but still I think they rushed it a bit. That innertube surround they made was freakin' awesome though. It seemed like it was going to hang in there until the cone got pushed all sideways. What was the SPL they ended up with at 20hz? I remember thinking it was an insane number. |
Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 449 Registered: Nov-06 | I agree that some changes would have made it better. |
Silver Member Username: BlazerboyPost Number: 319 Registered: Jun-06 | The show on now is pretty cool, weapons n' such...oh well, goodnight for now guys! |

Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 453 Registered: Nov-06 | Thats what I mean, If things were done differently they could have tryed again but the only test destroyed the setup. Many other things I would change but don't feel like typing that much. |
Gold Member Username: Livin_loud18 of Love Fi Audio Post Number: 1131 Registered: Jan-06 | wonder what 161 dB at 16hz (going from wolfman) feels like lol. thats so much air movement... |
Silver Member Username: Sinful_systems70Post Number: 464 Registered: Nov-06 | Imagine if it had time to speed up to a higher frequency!!!!!!!! |

Bronze Member Username: Shawn_flemingGainesville, Florida Post Number: 69 Registered: Sep-06 | Im in the episode twice, WOOT WOOT. Once for about 2 secs, and another time for about 6! |
Bronze Member Username: Shawn_flemingGainesville, Florida Post Number: 70 Registered: Sep-06 | Also 2 of my old Super Street 3-4 astros were ripping sheet metal, ripping doors, and breaking windshields, so I dont agree with there conclusion. Also my breakage was done from 65-67hz and at a 165+. So tuned lower, and over a 160 can definately destroy some stuff. |
Silver Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 901 Registered: Sep-06 | Every body go to MythBusters.com and post something about a car audio system destroying cars with Subs and amps maybe if we get enough post they might do it right. Hey its worth a try EVERY BODY ON THIS THREAD PLEASE POST. |
