there should be an aux input button..if u pushed the button and the head unit says aux but there is still no sound then u need to set your input sensitivity higher.......

just go to the xm setting and it should play the ipod. if that doesnt work check the manual on the head unit and see what it says

idk aboutt he 6500 but on my premier 680 you ahve to turn on the aux ins ( i think the rear one is aux 1)
