well tj, lets throw some numbers. That amp will not put 1200w rms. It has 2x40A fuses, small for a 1200w rms amp. Start with those numbers. Before buying a hifonics bxi 1206d, i'd try a lanzar optidrive 1400d. Better, rated and quality is equal or a lil superior. You've dealed with lanzar...
I have one. First amp I ever bought. It does awesome for what i need it to do, but if i was gonna do it again, I'd get a Kicker ZX750 or a different amp. I think it has very low efficiency bc it takes a ton of power, but yes, they are very overrated, i bet mine was pushin about 800-900 rms
well ok im not too good at looking at amps but i need enough power for my Q till i can save up for a xx colossus for two Q's. What do you think will power a Q best for about $270??
i don't like Ma audio. But that's the only model i would really consider. It puts 3k and for the price... there's nothing better. It's rated at 17V, but you will get between 2500-3500w with a good charging system. If you can find that amp in the 400-600$ range, consider it.
About hifonics bxi 1606D you should get at least, 1300w rms.
Tj, what about running 2 1200w rms amp? They will flow more current.
