hey guys. my friend jus got a DD 2512 and he didnt have an amp yet so he wanted to hook his brothers rockford t2001bd amp up to it just not all 2000w to give it a listen. but anyway, they hooked it up and as he connected the wires it sparked and blew the fuse in the amp. he called me n asked me the proper way to do it, i told him disconnect the neg wire to the bat and hook everything up and reconnect it. he did and it blew the fuse again. I'm going over there after class to see but you guys got an idea of whats going on here? i hope its as simple as some wire frays are touching.... oh and he doesnt have a fuse by the battery which i told him he needs to get asap, but that wouldnt cause the amp fuse to blow right away unless somehting else was wrong right? well i got to run, thanks for the help

get inline fuse (for saftey reasons)

make sure where he grounded it the paint is scraped away so it is metal to metal
