Ok, I have two DigitalAudio subwoofers hooked up to a Nitro 2000w 2 channel amp. The subs are dual 4 ohm, 2 or 8 ohm operation. The amp says it is 2-8 ohm stable. The only problem is that when I turn the volume up about mid way, the amp goes into protection. Now, the amp is in a camaro and it sits under the box in back of the car. Is this is thermal problem, or something different? Please help, thanks!

under the box? you have each sub wired to 2 ohms stereo? I would say that being under a box not getting sufficient cooling it would be overheating. Is this after you play it for a little while?

I don't know if I have the speakers hooked up in the box right. There is one positive and negative on one side, and then another positive and negative on the other side of the subwoofer. I have speaker wire going from one side to the other, and then that side is connected to the box.
