id reccomend 300 but 250 could work with a few batts.
www.excessiveamperage.com has cheap reliable alts...also ohio generator, alterstart(i think thats what it was) and Irraggi on ebay
Irraggi and EA both have great customer service

I disagree, depends where you go though, you can get a 300alt and depending who you get it from, you get low amps at idle or high amps at idle. So I would go with a 260amp alt which has a nice amperage at idle, around 155. But its up to you. Talk to Dom at iraggi he'll explain.

ya thats true berny. if he got the 300a amputator though, and not the dominator from irragi, im sure hes gunna have a hihg idle out of that alt. probably around 200 idle.

its going to depend on application. I got a 260amp alt from iraggi with a 160 idle. So it depends on what car because another car may have like 180 at idle and not 160 like me. Also depends who makes the alternator. But if you can get a 300amp alt with high amperage at idle Cody, go for it.
