Silver Member Username: LoudonPost Number: 626 Registered: Jun-04 | ok the first q i heard was a 10 sealed 2.0 ft .. great sq, low end wasnt extremely good for a ten but other then that a step above alot of ive heard secondly i heard a 12 q sealed 2.5 ft basically the same as the 10 but with a more noticable low end which excited me ... im a low end freak lastly was a q 15 ported 3.5 cu ft tuned to 34 hz ... lemme tell u i was flabbergasted .. this thing plays ne type of music i threw at it ... its such a versatile driver IMO ... oh and all u that want a comparason to a 05 xxx ... even tho they are different drivers ... with the xbl^2 being used in the xxx ... the q takes the cake in every aspect from what ive seen |

Ur not the first person to tell me that it out does a 05XXX....I figured it was more efficient since the XBL^2 is not all that(yep i said it) the trade off is not as great. i mean at full excurision there is no motor noise at all thats impressive..but u have to give it a sh!t load of power...so how is the q with power?? |

Silver Member Username: LoudonPost Number: 627 Registered: Jun-04 | first off the q and the xxx are about as different of woofers as u can imagine the xxx is made to play flat in any situation. the xbl^2 rolls off at upper octaves and make it seem like it has the most impecable low end the q has a completely straight gap design and it still plays flat, just doesnt roll off as quick in the upper octaves... It is more likely to peak out then a XXX is. the basic idea behind the woofer is to have good sq ... good low end .. and not break the bank |
