Give the sub around 6cu ft of volume, tuned to 35Hz, and it's guaranteed to shake your mirrors. The audio shop guys were very surprised with the sound quality @ 1000w+. The sub in the box I designed weighs over 120lbs. Way too much for me to drag around everyday. This is why I'm trying to sell it. What do you have for trading? I'm into SQ. Already have Zapco amp, Orion amps, RTA, surround sound processors, JL 12W7, LCD tv, GPS, 25w radio transmitter. As you can see, I have lot of toys. So what can you offer that I don't have? If you had JL 10W7 or even 8W7, that would interest me. |

Gold Member Username: BestmankindFi AudioBTL Post Number: 6910 Registered: Oct-05 | they are both very solid subs. i've heard a havoc at a stereo store not too far from my house. here is a link to that store for those who think i am talking out my azz. http://www.advancedcarcreations.com/products.htm i used to own a re sx 18 so i know how that sounds. they both get loud and clean. its hard to judge which is louder by ear. havoc can handle more power but we all know that just because it handles more power its going to get louder isn't true. well with that said, when it comes down to these 2 subs, i'd say it depends on the install. damn i wrote all that just to say it depends on the install. rofl. |

I'd say it depends on what you have to throw at it for power.. if you have the power go with the havoc.. if you have less go with the sx.. but remember.. that sx is under-rated .. but it does not take much to get it loud... with just 1000rms and a stock charging system i would do a consistant 145.3dB on a TL.. thats only with a box tuned to 35hz and burping at 42hz.. |
