i bought a 2 jl 12w08 sub with enclosure. The jl are rated 125rms each. The enclosure only have 1 power input (don't know they called... red/black port). Shouldn't the enclosure have 2 input? I was planning to hook it up to a 300w 2 channel amp. Since this only have one port, how much power do i put in?

Its common to just have one input. They are wired in series or parallel. Being wired like that you can bridge the amp to run into one channel....thus getting more power to the subs from the amp. What kind of amp is it? You should be able to bridge the amp. also, those subs are rated at 125rms so you should try to give them around 125 to 150 clean watts.

hooking the subs to a kicker kx300.2 amp

75 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
150 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
300 watts x 1 in bridged mode

The subs are listed as 4 ohms impendance. Can this amp handle the subs?

Yeah, it should be right on the money. Bridge the amp mono so you will be giving each sub 150 watts. The kicker amp is nice it will put out its rated power.
