Would an Alpine M605 be enough to power a 13w6v2?

I just got a 13w6v2 last week and I ordered an Alpine M605 (600w RMS is what alpine claims). I was checking to see if anyone has heard this amp at all and if so do you think it will be enough for the sub. I have got different oppinions from local shops, so figured I'd check here to see what you guys think.

My box is a Sub Zero Single chamber with a slot port.

the optimium power for that sub is about 500-750w, so I think then 605 would be enough

OK, thanks. I was asking because I was told that the alpine amp doesn't hit as hard as say a JL 500/1 or some other brands.

it'll hit as hard (even harder at 'higher' frequencies) but not sound as good due to lower damping factor (control)

ok, so should I go with another type of amp or stick with the M605?
