logan and chad you guys have the right idea hah.

yeah sean i do, but its a stock alarm and shuts off after like 5 minutes and i guess nobody heard it/woke up.

thanks for your sympathy rovin, but my reciepts show much more money then what i bought it for. so i'm looking forward to a better system anyways. but it's still a pain in the azz to deal with theifs.

Yeah I have a Viper 791XV and 5% over 35% tint all the way around and the only way you would know that I have a system is if you heard it when I pulled up. You cant see in at all.

If you do get an alarm get a 2-way so you will know when the alarm is going off

i'm not too worried about my next system. i'll probably bolt it down to the frame and have the amps in an enclosure plexiglassed.

Yea my stuff has been broken into twice.
Stupid crack heads.

I don't have an alarm though. The first time they stole my sheisty radio so I then had to buy a good one. Then the second time they must of got scared because they didnt take anything.

The police aren't going to help you.
You have a 99% chance of never finding out who jacked your stuff lol.

From now on
1) park under lights
2) park in places that are out in the open
3) park in front of windows

May want to consider wiring a blinking LED on your dash to fool people into thinking you have an alarm.

Alot cheaper and almost as effective as an alarm.

5 days in a row this summer some guy kept coming to my block and robbing cars, he hit some cars twice, never went into my car for some reason, i was lucky, but went into my brothers ls430 and took nothing and he had cartier glasses in there. I dont understand some people. Either he was really dumb or new my car then realized he new my brother when he seen his name on papers in the car.

well hey man that suxs hope u got a better system, well my first system was in a neon 1997 then i got some promotion on crutchfield about some sony p5 amps that was350 and included 2 free 12 sony subs, i got 2 amps and they sended me 4 woofers i was like cool, then i hooked up and i was banging and thumping all over the vity it sounded nice though not tooloude but nice pretty cool for sony, one day i took the amp out to my home for securyty purposed next time that i went to my car i opened the door cuz i was goign to school, turn the daio on, and i turn it off and installed the amp then i turned the radio on and suddenly there was no bass, i was like "wtf dude" then i opened my trunk to see if the woofers were unhooked or someting simililar, then i saw my box with speakers was gone " it ruined all my day" :-).

then i moved and i sold my 2 extra sony subs for 200 brand new, i got new tweeters a new cd player, and i got some a coustics subs and i put it all in my car, next time i went to my car it was juzz like yours, window shattered my dash all broken my cd player gone, tweeter gone, box gone even the neons, i wa pretty sad but yeah i tok the amp like i always do.

now if i park my car outside i take out the cd player, and the sub box, the amps are very hidden so nobody cant see them i have clear glass inthe back so thieves can alook and they wills ee all stock.

sory to hear that kevin. by the way kevin and all of you how much do you pay for insurance???

1. dont leave valuables visible to people walking by especially C.D.'s or IPods, put them in the trunk or at least hide them under the seat.
2.Get an alarm for your car
3.dont BOOM LOUDLY near your own house!(your telling criminals to come and visit you later, when your sleeping!)
4. Stop bragging and shut your mouth! So your system is 150+db, shove a cookie in your mouth and shut up(nobody cares... besides let the sound meter do the talking for you).
5. you should know if the type of people in the area your parking at are criminals, drug abusers, or just desperate. Alarm or not they can and will break your window in 5 seconds for a $2 music C.D. left visable on the front seat, so they can trade it to get high, and cost you a couple of hundred dollars to fix the window-even if they dont want to take anything else!

Was the box bolted down? Was the amp mounted on the box or was it screwed onto something?

If they want to break in they will.. just make it harder for them to jack your stuff.. Use un-common head screws, mix and match so it makes it difficult for them to have the right tools to get your stuff out. If you don't have tint carry around a blanket to cover your equipment. And the blinking LED is a simple thing to add that can make thives think twice knowing that the vehicle is alarmed. My car has one on the drivers door and when the faceplate is off on my h/u there is a large blinking LED in the shape of a inch slot on it.

wish someone would steal my stock radio, it costs a lot to get a new stock one so I would just get a better one..probably a Pioneer Premier

TO REPLACE MY stock stereo is $425 so if it got stolen, i could put in a pioneer premier and still have money left over...if the cops wouldn't have to be involved, i might pull my stock unit and trash it so I could say it was stolen

if it were really that much i'd ebay it.. that is if you get away with the insurance fraud.. you'd have break your window to at least make it look legit.. so you'd be out that as well..

kevin almsot 90% of the time a system is stolen it is usually taken by someone who knows who you are. not saying that one of your buddies had anything to dowith it but i've seen it happen more than once
