my car wont fit a yellow top under the hood the bat box isnt big enough, so i bought an exide orbital battery for under the hood. i wanted to install a 2nd battery so i bought a yellow top for the back, then my local shop told me that you have to have the same battery in the front as you have in the back or they will "fight" each other. is this true? i returned the yellow top and bought another orbital but im still not getting enough power. is that true? and how do i contact iraggi?

I dont think so man. Are you using an isolator or anything? I've ran 2 batteries before with no problem, and im about to be running 2 yellows along with my redtop, so it shouldnt have caused any problems that i know of.

If you run a battery isolator you wouldn't have to worry about that problem. But if your running them in series then it might *MIGHT* create a problem. But I'm not 100% accurate. Luckily for my situation, Steve Meade uses a red top up front and he also uses the the same batteries I have for the back, he doesn't have any problems. Hopefully if he just wired them up in series I would be safe like him. Hopefully. I pray about that haha.

regardless if they r the same batteries or not the slight voltage difference will "fight" each other constantly. (no battery is created equal even if they r the same...) same for amps, and subs. hmmm im running low on brain power right now but isn't going on series wiring with batteries gonna double the voltage, which in turn be really bad for most car audio accessories? or is it the other way around? hmmmm i fell stupid or that i didn't sleep for a day n a half... lol

If you run them in a series (+ to -) then it doubles the voltage i think. so that would make thema 24v. I think what they was sayin is jus runnin + to + and - to -. THats what most do. I dont know about isolators, i never used one, some will say you need them and some say you dont.
