i should be getting a new system installed within two weeks.

right now, i've got my mind set on 4 12" kicker L7's powered by two hifonics brutus 1606D's.

i'll probably put the subs in one big sealed box(for a little bit better sq), each sub with it's own chamber.

a dealer around my house might still have the older versions of this sub left so i'd get them for about 120 a pieceeee.

let me know what you think it'll sound like. be honest.

as big as possible without going over the max. reccomended size.

my friend had 2 12" l7's in a big sealed box. so we traded subs for a day and they sounded pretty good. i'm not gonna say they sounded awesome, because they were far from it, but they didn't sound bad at all.

i think when they made L7s, they were just like "lets make a sub with no Sound quality whatsoever, itll be awesome, people will love it"

i've heard subs sound much worse than an L7. they're not that bad if you make a good box for em.

the thing is logan, i always seem to fu*k up the port sizes when i'm tuning it. if i can get someone to help me out with the box/install i'll probably end up going ported.

That subwoofer tools thing never works for me, it always shows a huge box with like 300sq in of port space.

you have to mess with the subs Xmax to manipulate the port area....:-)

otherwise you end up with OUTLANDISH port areas for high xmax subs.:-)

If you buy the L7's.....

PM me and ill teach you a trick that will make the cones last one hell of alot longer than they do.

Personally, id buy 2 12's from a company with a lower return/failure rate and port them. 2 ported will be louder than 4 sealed in most applications.

Whatever makes you happy.
