If that amp actually puts out close to 2000 which i know some get pretty close you could do kicker CVX 15s.

so does the HD3, but the fi Q is more of an sq/sql sub.

scott recommends anywhere from 750-1200wrms for a 12" q, not sure on the 15".

what about some L7's. would my amp be able to power them without any clipping or other problems??

i have narrowed it down to"

2 kicker L7's
2 kicker cvx's
2 fi ssd's

The CVXs, louder than the ssd and better build than the L7s.

never heard the ssd's but i would take them just cause of the build quality, even though imo the cvx is the best kicker sub out. and rms means nothing, email scott at fi and talk to him about how much power to give them.

The L7s are the loudest of the 3. But they have a high failure rate thats why i said the CVXs b/c they are almost as loud but are better subs in general. The ssd is more of an sql sub so its the least loud of the 3.

do you think that 2 15" cvx could fit in a car??
and ported or sealed box?

thanks for all the help

Depends on what kind of car. And you would want to go ported b/cx that will be louder but the box required for 2 15in CVXs ported will be pretty big so that also depends on your car.

well i have a 2000 grand am. not the bigest trunk but not the smallest. if ported doesnt fit then i would have to go with sealed.

Im not sure what size ported box kicker recommends for those subs but i doubt it will fit. But in that car even sealed would be d@mn loud. And doc theres a lot of differance comparing 2 12s to two 15s especially with CVXs b/c the power handling is different.

i realize that kenny but kickers build quality is nothing to brag about

I would take the HD, AQ has the best customer service and there prices are great, also in the trunk of a car he would probably have to seal the CVX's but he could port the HD

Even sealed the 2 CVXs would still be louder than the HD.

highly doubt that lol but i guess it does depend on the power

1 15" ported 3000 wrms > 2 15" 2000wrms sealed

so cvx's would be loud then. the sq doesnt bother me as much. i just want the loudest i can get.

also would the zx1500.1 be too much for a pair of 12 inch L7's. i konw the amp is underated so i am just wondering.

Most likely, if you got lucky enough to get a pair of L7s that dont have a flaw in the build then no but i wouldnt try it. I would still say go with CVXs. I just checked kickers website and the recommended ported enclosure for a CVX15 starts at 3 cubic feet so i dont know if that helps you with waether it would fit or not, If not they can be ran in as little as 1.8 cubes sealed. But whether you go sealed or ported the bigger box you can fit the better.

how would i make a box that is 1.8 cubes? does it depend on how big it is or somthing else?

By cubes i meant cubic feet, thats how you measure the internal volume of a sub box. Yes thats just how big the box is. But with those subs and your car you would want a could go with a bigger box anyway. But im not really a box building expert so if i was you just make a new thread and ask some of the other guys on here to help you determine a size and to help design it.
