I think no matter what subs you get your going to be under-powering them. You can get a nice little setup for just under 400 for two subs but you really will want a new amp for it. Thats only 250rms per sub. Most subs in that price range will be 500-1000rms each.

whatever subs you get if you want to run bridged, you need 2 single 4 or 2 dual 2 ohm subs.

1000 watts is a tad much for the atlas. they are 250rms. How about 2 IDQ's from image dynamics, 2 alpine type r's, kicker cvx's, cerwin vega v-max's.

lol, no way, stay away from the new L7's. I'd run 2 12" s.i. bm's, or a single 15" Fi Q... a Massive Audio CW15, maybe a soundsplinter RL-p...

Why not go with a 1 sub setup. Mainly one 15 sd2.5 for 1 15 fi Q. Because these things can handle quite a lot of power, mainly 1000rms. But if you want something that can handle 500rms you can always step down a notch, such as the fi ssd or the aq sd2.

www.ficaraudio.com for the 1 fi Q or 2 ssd's

www.audioque.com for the sd2.5 1 sub is fine, or two sd2's.

There is nothing wrong with the Kicker Solo Baric L5 or L7 just make sure you break them in bofore you pound the hell out of them and they will be fine.

never know.. depends on a lot of variances .. temp/humidity/install/box/amp/ect ... you said yo were looking for some SQ so I'd stay away from that L7 unless all your looking for is SPL.. if your going with a single setup now I'd choose either

1) Si Mag
2) Fi Q
3) Aq Hd3

.. now my bias opinion would be get an RE SX.. if you can find one at a decent price :-)

IDMax 12"

Hands down best bang for the buck in my opinion.

they dont make them anymore....they stopped production on the v.3 and were "supposed" to release the v.4 this summer...

also, they are around ~400...not the best bang for the buck. they aren't that loud either, EXCELLENT SQ sub...but there are louder for cheaper, that good as well.:-)

I would get an RE sx but they are only dual 2 ohms right??? my amp is 1000 watts at 2 ohms so that wouldn't work out for me

josh u can get another same punch later on and strap them even if they arent strapable u can put each amp on each coil and match the gains perfeclty i was in a competition and a dude with a single 12 was pushing i dont know how many watts but it was two orion 2500d im guessing maybe 5k rms they didnt blow.
