See, alot of people don't realize that not everybody rolls down the street bumpin' at 140+dB's ![]() If you already have stock rear speakers, I wouldn't replace them. But I would invest in a nice, cheap pair for the rear if you have a dvd package in your ride.. otherwise if you like the surround effect, being able to hear the music all around you, I would get a pair for the back. If you like bass and loud distorted rock music, I wouldn't bother ![]() |
Silver Member Username: Nyyfan13VA USA Post Number: 264 Registered: Jul-06 | yea i doubt ill be bumpin down the road at 140+. i like to listen to rap and thats it. i was thinking maybe getting a solid pair of 6 1/2 comp up front (now that i know its 6 1/2 up front and not 5 1/4) and maybe a pair of 5 1/4 midbass speakers for the rear. would that be legit? |

Gold Member Username: MakmillionMN United States Post Number: 1105 Registered: Apr-06 | Do you have alot of passengers in the rear seat of your ride? If so, you might want to go with something that offers a little more high-end than a midbass.. if not then the midbass is fine for fill. |
Silver Member Username: JohammbassCork, Cork Ireland Post Number: 288 Registered: May-06 | Screw the rear speakers, no fill, nothin'. If you do your front comps properly with a sub (or a couple of subs) then you will feel a solid presence of stage. Forget about the rear passengers, who cares about them, 99% of the cases they don't even know if it sounds good or if it sounds bad, screw them. You are the main listener in the car, you paid for the system, you had the pain installing and you are the one who should enjoy the fruits![]() |

Post Number: 9311 Registered: Jul-05 | i agree with rear fill being NOT necessary however u still feel u would like the option of having them there u can just get some low wattage speakers & run them off HU power or if u choose 2 amp them use ur fader/settings so that they get like 1/4 - 1/3max of the power u r feeding the front speakers ........ |
Silver Member Username: Nyyfan13VA USA Post Number: 280 Registered: Jul-06 | alrite im not gonna get any rear speakers and just forget about the rear fill cause i usually dont have anyone in the back since its a small car and no one wants to ride back there. thanks |
