I'd perfer not to say which is better.. of course I'd be fond of RE seeing I own both sub and amp from them but I'd say whichever you can get cheaper. They are both quality amps..

well im a little biased since i own the 12.1, but ive heared way to many horror stories about ED to buy any of their products.

I was going to order two with my SXs but when I went to order they were out and I needed them asap for a comp.. all in all I finally ended up with a 35.1

i haven't heard anything bad about ED on this forum but about a year or so ago on other forums ppl were blowing subs left and right, and having trouble with the amps overheating, and going into protect mode.

Im a big fan of the eD nine.1...underrated and pretty cheap and well i dont really know much about the 12.1
