the SPL on the Q 12 is 85... that isnt too high

does that mean it wont get that loud? or it will need a lot of power to get loud?

lol... the Q series isnt the most efficient sub around, but the SPL/efficiency rating doesnt have a whole lot to do with the overall output of the sub. The box has MUCH more to do with things. Often, for a higher mass sub (like the Q) it is designed to play deeper that a low mass higher efficiency sub. Must bottom octave monsters simply arent light weight drivers.

Fi... a shortened form of the shortened form of High Fidelity>>>Hi-Fi>>>Fi. I was never any good at coming up with company names (as my past track record shows... Resonant Engineering... thats a mouthfull ;) )

Muddy, yep... But someone up at the top of the thread asked :-)

We are still working on the specs for the BTLs and incorporating it into the tech section. I will get the standard specs up over the weekend (worked some of last weekend and didnt have much time to work on the site as planned).

If a BTL is ordered before noon today PST, it takes 2-3 business days for a completely standard sub (like the X, SSD, or Q)or 3-5 business days build time for a custom optioned sub (Like the BTLs). If the order is received after noon PST, it will be processed and started the following business day.

Thanks,
Scott

that Q looks very promising indeed. i had no intention on looking elsewhere besides diamond d9 or eclipse titanium for my next 15, but this may have changed my mind completely, as well as the fact that i love my current RE, and i have faith in the founder. i can't wait to hear of people's first hand experience with these...
