HO alt or extra battery for my setup?

so i ordered my amp today and i was wondering if i was going to need an extra battery or would the yellow top in my car be enough..and will i need a HO alternator?? i have 2 12" L7's and i ordered a rf x7 a few minutes ago. 399 shipped .its rated at 1500rms at 2ohms but its under rated so its a little above 1600rms if i remember correctly..i just need to kno if im going to need to save more money for another alt. or an extra battery..money doesnt come easy my way lol..im in food service distrobution..aka i work at wendys lol

youll need a ho alt but you can use it for now until you get one just dont turn it up to much

i'd go 200a minimum, but is that the only amp you have running or you have more?

no its the only amp i have..but i wanna have sum leway incase i want an amp for my highs when i get more money to replace them lol..and am i supposed to use 0/1 guage wire the whole way back? and where can i get a nice ho alt for cheap and is the best place to get ur amp kit from the installer or online??thnx

yea u need 0/1 gauge and u can get it anywhere ebay is the cheapest

u deffinatly dont need zero gauge for 1500rms which is rated at 14.4v so unless ur gettin the HO alt u wont see 1500rms..also its nice to buy 0 gauge now even tho its is not nessary but prices of wire are going up on ebay as well as in car audio shops

has to do with sumthing bout copper demand and the shielding are gettin expensive so they are bumpin
up the prices...
correct me if im wrong

copper was moved to a precious metal this year.. thats why prices are going up. I've seen 1/0 guages as high as 8.50 a foot in local stores. I paid 4.50 at the beginning of the year. the price of copper has raised so much people are stealing it out of the new houses down here and bringing it to recycling yards

yea they steal the rebar i guess it is and the stuff from these new houses n buildings they are building down here n san antonio..and out of the backs of ppls trucks..but i am going to get a ho alt wit my next check..

yeah I heard that too...I heard of ppl around here stealin copper like mad...like if theres some copper or tv or somthing they take the copper...lol
