thats not good, i can tell you that much, could be bad ground connection or the wire could be to small, try upgrading to 0/1 and/or sanding the spot were it connects

Why have you posted this everywhere except for the amp forum?

Is the power wire bigger than the ground wire or not?

Can you take any pics of your install, specifically the mounting location of the ground wire? That would help a lot!

We need more info, like what kind of car you have too...

I think thats my problem because its a metal screw drilled into a painted chassiss and whenever bass hit hard I smell that screw burning
so I hope sand paper will help or I going on cardomain to see where other people ground they amp with 80's models cutlass's

havent yall learned this? anyway
you can run a 0 gauge all the way back to the back and it will carry the load then a short strand of 4 will not get hot.

heres an example, lets say 0 gauge can carry a power of 10 for 5 feet before losing some power to heat and going to 9 power, if you run 0 gauge to the back of your car and you go down to lets say 8 power, you put that in a distro block and run it with 4 gauge maybe 1 foot into the amp, if you ran 4 gauge the whole way you wouldve lost about 7 power point things, but in a one foot span you wont lose any,

do that with both your power and ground, it will get louder too if thats the problem and you wont be clipping the amp, also, like i said in my last post go ahead and try sanding the spot where your wire meets frame, though i wouldnt think the wire itself would get hot from that.

ya i was saying too small wire was the problem. i was just saying i wouldnt run 4 gauge on a 1500rms amp. and i didnt mean that not sanding the paint was the problem. but if you sand the paint, it will help.
