a type r might be able to handle 1000wrms, ppl giving them 2000wrms+ were only for burps, and when you here ppl talking a single type r hitting 150+db that was in a one note wonder box and 2500watts.
if you put 2500watts to one type R 15 even for a couple secounds its gona fry ud blow its voice coil off a type R cannot handle 2000 to 2500rms even for burps too much power! it can handle double its power at most 1500wattsrms for burps i wouldnt even recomend that subs dont perform better after their rms ratings they just distort more, to hit 150db he prob had a Tcab box and a small vehicle
