I just ordered this model from Tweeter, I figure with the MB Quart name and for a measly $25 shipped, how bad can it be???

I'm assuming the DWF254 is just last year's model and the newest update is this DWG254 shown here---let me know if this page tells you anything more, thanks:

From browsing their site it looks like MBQ's entry-level "Discus" model line is the only one that offers subwoofers, surprisingly enough.

Somebody tell me please if you're sure I'm gonna HATE this sub.

Just for reference, the sub in my other vehicle is an Infinity Kappa 10" SVC which I've been pretty happy with.

My application is strictly fill-in bass since I do not listen to rap, house, or hard rock---mainly jazz, classical, blues, a little vocal/alternative stuff. Mainly I am hoping that by adding a sub I'll greatly improve the SQ of my mains with the high pass filter turned on. The sub will get 2 of the 4 channels of a PPI dcx-600.4 amp so should be around 200watts.

Tweeter has it on backorder for 2 weeks, so I do have some room to maneuver here...

80 watts RMS? I'm guessing they won't do much. Maybe 20 fo them with a 1600 watt amp would do.

You must be looking at the wrong link or something.

Assuming that the new version is the DWG254, the MBQ site lists it as doing 200watts.
