Using a 4 channel amp to power a DVC 4 ohm Sub.

ch 1+2 bridge, and ch 3+4 bridge and run at 4 OHMS on each COIL of the subwoofer.

The amp: JL Audio e4300
The sub: Alpine 12" Type R - 4OHM DVC SWR-1241D

Can this be done safely and effectivly?

And of course one can just buy a mono block amp, but thats not the question.
