Is it okay to just wire 1 coil on a DVC sub?

Does it do any damage or effect performance of a sub to wire only one coil? I ask because I have a mono amp stable at 2Ohms and have 2 4Ohm DVC subs. I won't the amp at 2Ohms to get the most out of it. If I wire all voice coils I either get 1 or 4Ohms. If I wire just 1 coil from each sub I get 2Ohms.

Thanks!

lol u might be trying to get the most out of your amp, but wiring only one vc, will definantly not get the most out of your subs.

if i were you, i would definantly just wire one of the subs for now, until you get a new amp. parallel wiring will get you a 2 ohm load.

Ive had one VC hooked up before on a sub. Didn't have much of a problem, but after hooking up both VC, it deff made a dramatic increase in bass. I'd just wait and get a more powerful amp, it will be worth it!

if a sub was meant to have 1 voice coil ran, it would have just 1 voice coil.
