The first one is the newer model as the second one is the older model. The second model can't handle as much power as you can get a newer 12" or 10" that will handle as much power as an older 15".

I'd say you'd be ok with the newer model 15" if you only get one. Put an Audiobahn A8000T or the newer A8000V on it and it should sound good.

Well 1500wrms that 2 15" Type R's can handle will ultimately put too much stress on your alternator. I'd say downsize to 2 12" Type R's if you're stuck on that model which only would handle 1000wrms, give or take. I personally have a Type R 12" and I really like it. If you want R's yourself than I'd go with 12s as 15s would be too much for your alternator if you were to get an amp that would adequitely power them.

What if i got 2 of those audiobahn amps and send one to each 15. would that put too much stress on the alternator?

Most likely. I mean some people claim to put 2000wrms on their stock alternator but it can't be good. I wouldn't go anything over 1000wrms on a stock alternator but that's just me.

no. just cause you get another amp doesnt mean there will be any less stress on your alternator.

2 of those amps would be 1600rms, you dont really want to go over around 1000-1100 rms on your stock alt.
