Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 577 Registered: Apr-06 | the soundstream is the best. ive heard that they are a little underrated. audiobahn is an ok brand for amps, but not as good as soundstream. kicker has better amps than all of those brands, but the amp is only 1200 watts, and so is the second audiobahn amp, and they dont put out as much as the other 2000watt amps. hifonics arent as good as audiobahn, because they are overrated alot. they only do about 80% of what they say for rms on most of their amps. |

Audiobum tends to blow a lot, not hifonics. Hifonics has better prices, Audiobum 2000w amp, costs a fortune. Audiobahn has the intake series (good stuff) then all the other ones are bad. Hifonics stuff is good, colossus, olimpus, all those amps give a good bang for the buck, and hate blowing (lol!) |

High current amps to run subs just don't make sense to me given how inefficient they are vs. Class D's, which are more efficient, more common, and generally cheaper. I'd figure the SS would be the most powerful, being that most of HF's recent amps have been questionable on their ratings. Overall quality I'd definitely say Kicker, and knowing how under-rated they tend to be it's probably closer to a 1500w amp than 1200. |
