I have 98 nissan maxima with audiobahn 8002t amp with audio bahn special edition 12's powered at 400rms a piece. When i first got the system i had the factory bose stereo so they had to bypass everything. the system was bridged at first an with the bass boost it would hit hard, but overheat very quickly an cut the amp off so they had to unbridge the speakers so i can have the bass boss on but supposely they claim its a 1ohm. i enventually got a new cd player panasonic cq 8300u. what setting do i need to have my amp to where I can have it brigde an get the max bass out my system without it over heating.

hmm.

-- where do you have your amp in your car?
-- is your gain set correctly? (reason why most amps overheat)

-- is the amp wired to 4 ohms?
-- are the sub dual voice coil 4 ohm subs?

answer these question
