okay after much posting and fidling with prices i was thinking of this setup
-->Alpine SWR-1242D in ported enclosure to alpines specs -->Pioneer DEH-P4800MP head unit -->Alpine MRP-M650 amp also an 8 gauge wiring kit. i have one last question about the amp. with that 600rms to the sub @ 2 ohm will that cause any problems without that little amp controller that is with other amps or should i not worry about it? and just stick with this setup. as it is this will cost $590 CDN with shipping.
the amp controller is just a bass boost and I don't reccomend using them anyways they just add to clipping and blowing of your subs. That set-up sounds fine man. glad to see you went ported with the r's.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Alpines amp's, but you could of went with worse I guess.:-) If you want a list of other amps to consider, try MTX, Audiobahn, yes I said Audiobahn, Rockford...
