OT-my car got messed up too lol

well everybody says its the gas pump thats wrong with and i think so too but i just wana make sure

well one day after skoo i wuz driving home and suddenly like i couldnt accelerate anymore. its like if the car just turned off on me. i floored the gas pedal but it didnt accelerate anything. so i went with the momentum as far as i can go. then wen i stopped i couldnt turn the car on nomore. it still started like u know wen u put the key on start and its like "ugh ugh" lol. but it didnt turn on. i think it wusnt getting any gas.

does anyone know wuts wrong with my car? I think its the gas pump

you checked to make sure it had gas right?
did you drive through a puddle?

what kind of car, fuel injector or carb.?

yes i had gas duh and no i didnt drive it through a puddle

and idk if its fuel inject or carb.

the car is a 93 toyota celica gt 2.2 liter automatic

well if my guess is correct your fuel pump just s h i t the bed because if there is gas in the car and its turning over just fine then there's probly no gas geting to the engine and just for your info a 93 toyota would be fuel injected

Puddles have been known to drown small children as well as drunk people. Perhaps puddles can destroy cars with a simple splash. omg.

no if cars drive over a puddle tht is really high,water can be sucked in thru the air intake, and now im sure u can figure out the rest......water and gas and metal i dont think tht work wen thiers no air...also it rusts ur pistons and then ur car goes to sh!t!!!...

besides its summer so why u talking about puddles? it was probly over 100degrees that day my car got f.ucked up. and its still that hot now

could you have a dead alternator or battery or maybe theirs no oil in the car or if it was hot out check the engine coolent antifreeze

lol it hasnt rained here in cali for months and besides its summer!!

and ya a mechanics coming saturday i just wanted to see if somebody knew for sure wut the problem wuz so i dont have to take it to a mechanic and do it myself

idk about the cat though

and no its not the battery or alternator......for sure

fuel pump will do that but a clogged fuel filter will also.

hey ur transmision is standar?????

on my ex neon i installed some air filter and the turbo so a week of ridin my car suddenly didnt wanted to start i checked and i though it was the gas pusmp too but na it was a screw that got in to my starter i think and we took it out and it worked fine

i duno u might wana double think about that my car did the exact same thing when my altnernator died came to a slow stop like yours when the alternator dies your whole car dies as well and i known of other instances where cars have all of a suddenly died due to alternator failure it does happen id get it checked

when your alt dies your car wont turn over because before your car dies it is running off of what juice is left in your battery, once that is gone the car shuts down.

ya but its not the battery for sure cuz it doesnt turn on nomore but it still sparks up or however u say that. cuz, just to check if its the battery, i tried to turn it on while charging the battery from another car and it still didnt turn on. the battery is not the problem. thanx for the help anyway
