what kind of car was it, my brother has 2 10inch cvrs sealed and a pos kenwood amp pushin maybe 100wrms to each sub and you can hear him like 2 blocks away and its pretty loud in his car but he has a trans am so the hatch is what makes his system so loud.

yukon denali. it was black and it had chrome rims. i was expecting some huge drug dealer to get out of the car and pop my asz, but it was some scrawny kid from a visiting baseball team who probably thought i was going to steal it from him.

if they were the old 10 in bazooka tubes they got very loud! I had 2 10's when I was younger in a single cab pick up behind the bench seat and they sounded amazing:-)

Hey Rob the deffinition of loud is different for everyone so YES every sub has the ability to get loud by someone's standards. When I was younger I took a stock 3 1/2 in dash speaker ac delco piece of cr@p and made a bass tube out of it and it amazingly got rather loud for what it was. Like Chauncey said if you take that clarion sub and put it in a ported enclosure tuned to 55hz or 60hz and play a test tone and burp it I am sure it will get rather loud.
