depens on your sub. if you sub is has a single voice coil, then it can only be wired as 2ohms. if it has dual voice coils, then you can wire it as 1ohm or 2ohm. just remember that if you wire in parallel, you double the ohm rating. if you wire in series, you half the ohm rating.

u cant wire a 2 ohm DVC to 2 ohms. you can get either a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load w/ a 2 ohm DVC sub

so if i have a 2ohm stable amp and a 2ohm dvc sub then i'm not going to get my 2 ohm load. So what i need is a 4ohm dvc sub correct.

yes if you have 1, that is correct. or 1 2 ohm SVC sub. two 2 ohm DVC subs would get you your 2 ohm load.

DVC

2 4 ohm = 1 ohm or 4 ohm
2 2 ohm = .5 ohms or 2 ohm

SVC

1 2 ohm = 2 ohms
2 4 ohm = 2 ohms

why don't you go to www.bcae1.com
read the entire site top to bottom.
do this over and over until you understand all of it.
then you'll know this without asking.
