Custom Sub Enclosure

I looking for a little help from an inexpreienced custom builder (myself). I built two boxes into the corners of my trunk. The edges of the trunk are not straight, so getting the boxes pefectly tight against the car is very difficult.

My question is whether or not the enclosure needs to be air tight, or if the gaps around the edges is okay.

If the gaps are big you need to re-cut the piece. if you can stick your pinkie in it you definatly need to re-cut it. The better your box is built the better your subs will sound/preform.
