I have an 86 GTI, the car is a nice comuter. I want the sound system to be clear in all ranges. I listen to the instruments and vocals without blasting the sound but I do want to drown out exterior noise. The car came with 3.5's in the dash and 5x7's in the rear, both coaxial. This is not right for my classic rock and roll. I have a sony 1200 watt amp, 8" bazooka tube that are not installed jet. My hu is a JVC about 4 yrs old. nice enough for me to keep. I am trying to find good speakers on ebay so I can save a littly money. I can tell many of the people on this site know what you are talking about, so some advice would be greatly appreciated.....bk
