I have the CDT HD-52 components powered by the Elemental Designs NINe.2x. They sounded great for the first two months. Lately, when I turn the volume past 3/4 the tweeters seem to fade out. So I turn the volume back to 1/2 and they seem to fade back in like normal. What is going on and why would this suddenly start occurring?
could be the wires or could be the crossover, the passive crossover on the HD's does have tweet protection mode. The 560 satnet doesn't which could solve this but also that may show signs that your amp is giving it a bad signal. Try turning down the gains.
