Bad subs?

i have 2 12 inch volfenhag zx-1247 subwoofers and they quit working and i dont know what the problem is i think they may b blown but how would i know? any help would b apreciated

I heard 2 of thier 10's, and they sucked. What kind of amp did you have? Uprgrade to a sub thats more reliable.

first off, volfenhag's arent very good subs. second, a blown sub will work but sound bad. so finally, not sure about ur exact problem, maybe a broken tinsel lead, but in general, this may just be just volfenhag's poor reliability and poor craftsmanship showing through. maybe you should take this as a sign and save up for something alittle better. sorry ur subs dont work tho, i know i hate being bassless

press on the cone, if they don't move they are blown

i have seen blown subs with a moving cone, but when you move it it has a scratching noise.

a cone not moving doesnt mean its blown.

Yeah i had a rf sub and the cone didn't move, i thought it was blown. But it was dropped and the pole piece bent so it stopped the vc from moving.
