Silver Member Username: DrivingrecklessNear tampa, Florida United state... Post Number: 916 Registered: Apr-06 | wut ur lookin for is sql......im a treo man so i would go for a tsx 12" for tht price range but they are 269 at my dealer but if u want a type R here is a 15" for about 205 http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ALPINE-SWR-1542D-15-DVC-TYPE-R-SUBWOOFER-2000Wmax_W0QQit emZ9739660220QQcategoryZ18804QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |
Bronze Member Username: JeepgcPost Number: 18 Registered: May-06 | Would you say the Type-R would do what I want? I mean if it's not gonna give me sql then I don't really want it. |
Silver Member Username: DrivingrecklessNear tampa, Florida United state... Post Number: 917 Registered: Apr-06 | well it will do wut u want if u get the proper enclosure and if u properly power it...i never sed it wouldnt do wut u want.... |
Bronze Member Username: JeepgcPost Number: 19 Registered: May-06 | Ok. That's fine. Another question then. Is it worth the 100$ that I would spend on a 15 over a 12? I know it's 250 more wrms but is that going to have a huge effect? |
Silver Member Username: DrivingrecklessNear tampa, Florida United state... Post Number: 918 Registered: Apr-06 | ur not going to notice a BIGGG difference but thier will be sum difference.....but is it worth paying i would cuz i like 15s but in the end its all about the money u have...but seroiusly no not a bigg diff |
Bronze Member Username: JeepgcPost Number: 20 Registered: May-06 | Ok. I think I might go with the 12" then because if i want more then i can just get another one. If I got a 15 and wanted another, that would just be overload. What kind of box would you say to go with for the type r? Also, 2 ohm or 4 ohm? |
Silver Member Username: DrivingrecklessNear tampa, Florida United state... Post Number: 919 Registered: Apr-06 | for the enclosure go sealed...and as for the ohms which ever one ur amp would put most power at |
Bronze Member Username: JeepgcPost Number: 21 Registered: May-06 | Sealed? Why have I heard ported so much around here then? |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 8113 Registered: Jul-05 | type R is a good SQL sub & hardly u will find a sub that comes close 2 it in its rice range . Its just that its a very popular sub so some ppl here get tired of reading about it . PORT ur R anywhere from 32-35hz & tell me if it doesnt give u that SQL ur after with only 200wrms going 2 each of my Rs in a pvc ported box i'm shaking the roof of my garage & sounding very clear & distortion free as well too - imagine when i hook up back my bigger amp & give it a full 600wrms each ... |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 8114 Registered: Jul-05 | the 12" current model i was talking about ^^^ imo the 15" is a bit over priced ..... |
Bronze Member Username: JeepgcPost Number: 22 Registered: May-06 | Rovin or someone. Could you possibly design that box for me? 32-35 hz for one Alpine Type-R 12". It would be much, much appreciated. |
