I have a 1200 watt amp at 4Ohm 2 channel which is 300RMS but at 2ohm is it possible for it to be 500RMS at 2ohms which it states PER CHANNEL??? I tried both the 2ohm setting no doubt is louder but is it numbers wise factual?

Halving the resistence allows for doubliung the power output in most cases. It may varry from manufacturer to manufacturer.

So to do the math;

300 RMS at 4 ohm per channel
600 RMS at 2 ohm per channel
1200 RMS at 2 ohm = total

so 500RMS is possible at 2ohms from a 4ohm amp?

From the questions you are asking it seems that you are new to this.

Go here,www.bcae1.com read and educate yourself. It may take a little bit of reading and studying, but you will get more educated as to how audio works, and then it will be easier to find out what yopu need.
