?????????

With only one I would say get the Alpine MRD-M605, If It is 4ohm DVC.

But if you ever plan on getting another one get the MBquart.

I say this because street value to under educated people is higher than ebay value and Alpine is well known. :-)

i hate to say this but, raven WTF, you're going to buy one "named brand" model because people will know about it but MB quart that is not a "named brand" for people who doesn't know about car audio you're not buying it??? HMMMM...

go with mb quart and don't think about selling it before you buy it

wut? mb quart amps? not that cheap. their raa1000 puts out 1000 @ 1 ohm and its like 250 bucks. still good price.

Well juliob if he has a 2 ohm sub and wired it to 1ohm that would be 1000 watts off the amp And
That MB only does 250 RMS at 4ohm.

If its 4 ohm it can be wired to 2ohm meaning that MB will only do 500RMS and the Alpine MRD-M605 does 600RMS @ 2 ohms.

And when he decides to upgrade Alpine anything is easy to sell , Yes MB is nice but unkowledgeable people would rather have audiobahn because everyone thinks audiobahn is top shelf, And MB is not all that well known.

But Robbie if you get two Alpinr R's I would get the MB and 2 4ohm subs.

Yeah...ive got 2 Alpine Type E's @ 4 ohms.250wrmsX2. i just want somethin that will beat the crap outta these subs. i really dont care if they blow bc i have a 4 yr warranty, so if you have ne other suggestion for somethin that will beat up my subs under $300 (not off eBay bc i got suspended somehow) then help me out!!! also not a crappy brand , somethin that will last me a while.

True but he can only wire those subs to 1 or 8ohm to that amp

1ohm-1000RMS 400 over
8ohm-125 RMS 375 under

400 over is not a bad thing, it's not like you have to run the amp at rated power:-)

hey i was jus looking at the two mb-quart amplifiers that i was thinkin bout gettin and why is this one (http://www.pricegrabber.com/rd.php/pg=~~3/r=1552/m=7873093/q=n/mt=0~2~219.00~198 .35~208.68~1~~/k=e7a4f32edcae186a5c10d65bec871a3a/search=MB%20Quart%20RAA2400) priced so much lower than this one (http://www.pricegrabber.com/rd.php/pg=~~3/r=1552/m=7873092/q=n/mt=1~2~388.35~259 .00~323.68~1~~/k=968a9e64873ea9f940ed966b80242f79/search=MB%20Quart%20RAA1000). The RAA-1000 only pushes 500wrmsX1 @ 2ohms while the RAA-2400 pushes 400wrmsX2 @ 2ohms(800wrms X1 @ 2 ohms). Am i missing something or is the 2-channel amp(2400) more powerful than the mono(1000)????????

mono is almost always more expensive + More power = More cost.

so even tho the RAA2400 says that it has more power the RAA1000 actually has more power?

they are only single voice coil therefore it wont run at 1 ohm so it has to be 2 ohms which RAA1000 is 500 watts rms the two channel is 800watts rms bridged at 2 ohms am i correct???

oh n for douglas the reason they are so cheap....i cuz they dont make them anymore....they sold out to maxxsonics....so they are just clearing stock...

rovin has that Mb amp. and a Alpine amp so he might can give u good review of both them

Alright this is the last post on this thread by me, the last post will be rovin. I am powering 2 Alpine type E's SVC wired to 2 ohms. they say 200 watts rms at 4 ohm.(times 2 bc i have 2 subs) so...Raa1000 or RAA2400, bc the RAA100 is 500 watt at 2 ohm and the RAA2400 says 800watt at 2 ohm so... isnt the RAA2400 more powerful in my case??? Also i dont care if i blow my subs bc i have a 4 yr warranty, so it does not matter, i really want them to blow so i can trade them in fa type R's!!! This question strictly for Rovin

k - i understand all of that

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14964

u do realise raa2400 is a 2 chan amp which is better suited 2 run components (though it can be used like any 2 chan amps 2 run subs too) BUT usually 2 chan amps r class AB which draws more current than mono blocks

raa1000
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductReview.aspx?ProductID=14965

since this amp does 500wrms @ 2ohms i would get this MONOBLOCK amp instead

& since u said u can blow ur Es & trade em in for 2 12" Rs 1242d model - then heck thats what i would do

my raa1000 when i had it bumped my Rs so good/clean/low/loud that it used 2 shake my steering column . Hope i was helpful 2 u ....

as a side note - 2 Rs can easily handle 1200-1400wrms so they can use a even bigger amp than that raa1000 but since u were asking about it i gave my 2cents about it.......

alright. you dont need a certain about of watts got a 2 ohm subs and a 4 ohm sub. a sub just handles a certain rms power, no matter what the ohm load is
