my friend recently purchased a mono 800w pioneer from bestbuy, i installed it all with 4 guage power wire and the sub i sold to him, a mtx thunder 8000.
is it possible to run this in 2 ohms? his amp is 500w 4 ohm and 800 at 2.
is it possible to wire it at 2 ohms with onyl 1 sub?
Sorry bud, with one SVC 4 ohm sub you are limited to one option = 4 ohms. How much power can that sub handle? Because I thoroughly doubt that amp REALLY puts out 800 watts @ 2 ohms. Or even 500w at 4 ohms for that matter.
