Multiplying 600rms!!!!!

im thinking bout powering one Resonant Engineering RE SE 15" Sub with one Orion 2500d amp Wcc D5000 amp 5000 watt. is this a good idea?
RE SE 15" Sub:
rms-600w
model-SE
voice coil-dual
size-15"

Orion 2500d amp Wcc D5000 amp 5000 watt:
2400w
1 channel
model-WCC D5000

You realize that the rms on that sub is 600 and that amp would be 2400??

i know one kid who multiplied his treo tsx 400rms by 3. everything worked fine. will anything happen to my sub or the amp?

nobody is gonna tell u to ova pwr anything.. also the tsx can take that abuse easy... it comes down to the type of materials used, and the manufacturer itself... over power it at ur own will, but it voids the warranty, and can cause premature death to the sub within a few secs, few mins, few weeks, etc...
