Can anyone tell me what ohm to wire these subs at? They are Pioneer 12" TS-W305DVC. On the backs it says Dual 4 ohm voice coils, 400w nom, 800w max, 2/8 ohm impedance. This is how they were wired, not sure what ohm it is. The amp i'm running them with is a A1200 PPI 4ohm stable.

well I can't see your pic but this is how you want to wire them. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp =Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2

wiring option 2 is the one you want. By the way that is a sick amp way to nice for those subs.

Hey Steve that way you have them wired makes no sense. @ of the vc's arnt even powered. go to any wiring page and wire them up to a 4 ohm load. that amp is not stable under 4 ohms mono so don't run it any lower. If you want to run it at 1 ohm get a ono amp and in this case let me know because I will buy the a1200 from you.

Hi James,it doesn't sound very good at 4ohms at all. The way i had them wired they sound alot better. Really hit hard. A car audio shop here in Baltimore told me to wire them up that way but i was running an older fosgate amp at the time. I know it is only 4 ohm stable thats why i wanted to rewire them. It must be some kind of competion setup, lol.... Surely must be somone on here that has seen this before. {HELP}

Original pic was driving coil 2 and 3 at a 1 ohm load, Thats why it sounded like it was hitting harder.

I think i might look for an Orion amp on ebay though, one that can run 1 ohm stable. Did PPI make any older amps in the art series that would run stable at 1 ohm?
