Is that a lighted toggle switch? 3 prongs yes. 2 prongs no
on a 3 prong: 1 is load (Rem out )
2 is (rem in)
3 is ground.
on a 2 prong; 1 in
2 out

If its lighted you may want to use a relay on it... I lost 1 volt on my led switch. times that by 4 and there was no power to turn on my amps (even with a relay). I had to use unlit rocker switchs. That was not fun to figure out... Finally broke out the DMM and found that the switches were hogging my juice.

If you are talking about the remote wire from your HU to the amp, the yes serius, your first pic is right. Depending on whether your remote wire is going to your HU, or to the fuse box. But either way, a switch on the remote wire will work.
