Im kinda new to this so I was wondering if lets say any 15" would pound harder than any 10" just because it has a larger excursion area?

they would be louder but may not physically hit harder. the 10 will more than likely have tighter bass but the 15 will be deeper and you will feel it more. in my experince the 15's are louder and you feel them more like a rumble than hard hits like w/ really tight well powered 10's or 12's.
