When I went from a sealed to a ported box my subs move inward instead of outward I switched my speaker wire going to the amp from + to - and - to + and is has no effect I have turned my phase all the way up and all the way down and everywhere in the middle and still no difference Im just wondering is this bad for my subs and how should I fix it, if it is harmful.

dont switch the the sub + and - and the amp + and - at the same time because that cancels the phase shift out. do one at a time.

phase shift 0-180 is the same thing as switching the + and - just easier because it is a switch. for inverting you sub the phase doesnt have to be one way or another its just preference.

set the gain according to your HU. when your Hu is on 3/4 volume if you hear any distortion turn it down. already gt the box? id prolly do 2cuft each.

yeah what im saying is dont guess. leave it on as low as the gian goes... then hook it up and slowly (very slowly) turn the gain up until its set right. there are better ways but i dont think you have an oscilloscope or a DMM.
