Ok, I have a 2 channel amp. Anyway to figure out how to configure it without the manual? I.e. so that im running it @ 4 ohm's. It has options for 2 channels @ 2ohms and 2 channels @ 4 ohms. Anyway to do this? Kinda tricky. I know theres gotta be a way to measure resistance.

the speaker impedance and VC set up will tell you that. should be on the speaker somewhere.

what kind of amp?? what kind of speakers??

or you could just use a DMM to test.

yeah, i'd like to know how to use a multi-meter to test it. I tried just slapping it on resistance test and putting it on the + and - but that def didnt wokr.

Same with watts, whats the conversions and what not ot determine wattage through a DMM

how did using a volt meter set to OHMS not tell u what the resistence of that sub was.....Or did u put the prongs on the amp instead of the sub

Infinity Perfect 12's and an Infinity Ref 611a

Yeah.. I put the ohm meter on the amp outputs, now that i think about it, guess that wouldnt show resistance very well huh :P

Yeah hah. I'm still kinda unsure about how to determine wattage though - I'm sure i'll be able to find an equation for it when I have some more free time tho.
