Ok this little azz box I have in the back of my silverado is not cuttin it I dont have that real deep bass! and I want it, so I got some money to build a box but the problem is I dont know how to build a good box or any kind of box if I could get one of you guys to hook me up with some dimensions and everything , that would be great it's a 97 z71 silverado extended cab there is no 3rd door. the box is for 2 15's that require around 4.0-5.0 CF of space each!! im thinking about a sealed box becuse it's easier to build and being as big as it will probably sound good, im taking my seat out so I will have more space there is a lump in the middle of the floor in the back. I will get the dimensions of the back of my truck when I get back from school and I will get some pics.

You should be able to figure it out yourself, very easy to do. Measure the space where you want to place the box and see which restrictions you have (height, width, depth). Once you have a side or two down, just figure out what the other side of the box should be (assuming a standard rectangular box). cuft = (h*w*d)/1728
h, w, d in inches

Josh...hit me w/ an email...i have a '98 ext cab silverado w/ 1 SX15 (soon to be 2 hopfully). I'll help you out.

marshall_white2004@yahoo.com

I took care of that hump in the middle in my ttuck, i built a false floor so i have a flat surface for the box. With an 8cuft+ box you are going to need bracing. (i would suggest 3/4" threaded rod)...also, you will want to double your baffle (where the subs mount)

If you are going to compete in SPL comps...i'll go ahead and tell ya right now that your resonance freqency is 47-49hz.

Josh, the amount of internal volume affects the sub's response and sound. You can model it up with the T/S parameters in a program like WinISD.
Marshall is your man if you're talking box building. He can help you a lot more than I can.
