Yup sure can, that is just like the JL HO design except upside down. Just make sure you have the proper length and width for the proper tuned frequency.

Also, obviously the port must be the same width for the entire length of it.

Also in terms of air flow, that angle is less than 90 degrees so it may be more restrictive to air flow, so I would recommend this instead: (hold on while I sketch)

ok thanks. this is my first time im gonna built a slotted port box. i have always used pvc. but for the tuning fq i want. i would need a 4in port like 18in long, i thought i could use a 90 elbow so it would fit but its too close to call. i dont wnat to build the box and find out the sub wont fit. but when i put in the dim. into win isd. i say the port is gonna be 16" by 2" and it says it has to be like 50in long.

ha ha i used to TTRY to use photoshop lol....i suck at it horribly.
now Jasc paintshop pro is a great program for that stuff...download it P2P, its nice

lol you have to have patience to use photoshop. i once took my friends picture and put a dog head on his body. i made it look as real as possible. lol.

Anything 90 degrees or greater will flow pretty well. I think ideally you would have a straight port with no bend..
